SYDNEY, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Australian basketball star Andrew Bogut live-tweeted a dramatic police drug raid in Australia's Melbourne on Wednesday as it unfolded at two nearby properties.

Uninvolved in the incident but watching on from a building close by, the National Basketball Association (NBA) veteran who recently returned home from the United States after reaching the finals with the Golden State Warriors in June, took to social media to capture the action.

"Full-on 10+ Australian Federal Police raid next door," the 34-year-old, 2.13-meter center tweeted, along with an image of a heavily armed officer in tactical gear.

Reported by local media to be an illegal cannabis growing operation at adjacent warehouses in the city's southeast, officers on the scene confirmed the raid was part of an ongoing investigation.

Police added that there is no longer any threat of the community.
