BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1,539 Chinese model workers visited procuratorates across the country as they were holding open days ahead of May Day at the request of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).

It marked the first time that the country's role models, advanced workers and other representatives who have made outstanding contributions to the country were invited to the procuratorates on open days.

Nineteen visited the SPP in Beijing on its open days, which fell on Sunday and Monday, to learn about the work of the SPP.

"We got to see the SPP's efforts and achievements in intelligence and high technology courtesy of the visit to its big data center," said Zhang Xuesong, a national model worker, who expected that the country's procuratorial work will better serve the people and contribute to the country.

"I hope that through the open days, all procurators can learn from the model worker spirit of working hard for the country and the people, and show their loyalty in their specific work," said an official with the SPP.
