JAKARTA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian investigators have planned to assist the investigation over the crash of Boeing 737 Max 8 jet plane from Ethiopian Airlines that killed all 157 people on board on Sunday, transport ministry disclosed here Wednesday.

Indonesia has taken some experiences from the ongoing investigation into the crash of a same type of plane, which plunged into the water off western parts of the country in October last year that killed all 189 people on board.

Director General of Air Transport of Transport Ministry Polana B Pramesti said that the plan has been conveyed to the authorities in Ethiopia.

"We will send investigators from KNKT (the national transportation security committee) and transport ministry to Addis Ababa to help investigate the crash," Polana told a press conference.

Both flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder of the Boeing 737 Max 8 plane that crashed into Indonesia's water had been retrieved from sea floor by divers.

Based on data gleaned from the flight data recorder, Indonesian investigators had found out several findings linked with the causes of the fatal flight of JT-610 on Oct. 29 and delivered recommendations to the U.S. plane maker Boeing, including on how to handle an emergency situation during the flight with the Boeing 737 Max 8 plane.
