JAKARTA, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Ministry of Youth and Sport is positive its athletes will be able to win gold at the Asian Games later in 2018.

Indonesia hopes to finish tenth on the medal table at the Asian Games. Youth and Sport minister Imam Nahrawi says athletes have shown significant development and progress. "Even some sports which are not included in the list of those potentially providing medals have indicated tremendous progress," Nahrawi said.

Indonesia will dispatch approximately 1,500 athletes and officials to the Games. Indonesian athletes will participate in all 40 sports showcased at the event.

The 18th Asian Games is scheduled to be held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta and in Palembang city, the provincial capital of South Sumatra province.
