WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- One U.S. soldier had been killed in a non-combat-related incident in Baghdad, , the U.S. Department of Defense said on Tuesday.

The service woman, who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, was killed on Monday in Baghdad as a result of a non-combat-related incident, said the Pentagon in a statement, without giving details of the incident.

The soldier was assigned to the 89th Sustainment Brigade, Wichita, Kansas, according to the statement.

The incident is still under investigation.
