NEW DELHI, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in Saturday's attack on an army camp in Indian-controlled Kashmir has risen to seven, after the body of one more soldier was found during search operations, defence sources said Tuesday.

Besides the six security men, one civilian was also killed in the attack which took place at the Sunjuwan army station in Jammu area in the wee hours of Saturday morning. As many as 11 persons, including four security men and seven civilians were injured.

Four militants were also killed in the gun-battle which ensued the attack.

A guerrilla war is going on between militants and Indian troops stationed in the region since 1989. Kashmir, the Himalayan region divided between India and Pakistan, is claimed by both in full.

Since their independence from Britain in 1947, the two countries have fought three wars, two exclusively over Kashmir.
